A Religion called ‘Humanity’

Image
Trust me I’m fed up of all the hate comments and deliberately run false propaganda of some people in order to protect/save their religion, particularly led by them for showing that their religion is much better than the rest of the religions in the world. There are around 4200 religions in this entire world out of which 18 are popularly practiced. In India alone, there are about 9-10 religions, not only these, these are further bifurcated into many sects making the count reach to thousands. In order to maintain peace in our country and also to prove that we give equal importance to all the religions, the word ‘secular’ was added in the preamble to the Constitution of India in it’s 42 nd amendment in the year 1976. But still, there are some people in our society which tend to establish that their religion is the supreme one and they could harm other people and their rights in order to prove their point. We often come across certain hate post and videos on social media which...

From Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai to "Boycott China!"

Image
Irony committed suicide while I was typing 'Boycott China' in a Lenovo Laptop. (Lenovo is a Chinese company) I was stunned to see when suddenly people of India started burning their LCD's and LED's and other china made products. Kudos to them! I mean, even in lockdown they're strong enough to waste their hard earned money by destroying their own though made in China products! What a mind boggling display of patriotism by the people of India. Hats off! Nevermind, I feel pity for them. Actually it is very easy to get emotional and get distracted from the realities of life, realities which can shock you and scare you. If we think logically and practical enough, we would never have called for 'Boycott China' movement. Before you start throwing virtual rotten tomatoes all over me, do have the courtesy to read what I've written below.   How on earth is it possible for India to boycott China when most of the things we use in our daily life are 'Ma...

RELIGION , POWER AND POLITICS

Image
The combination of religion, power and politics is always lethal. It brings immense destruction, pain and leaves behind it's scars for years. You never tend to forget them, even if you want to, you always try to analyse what went wrong, how it could have been avoided, but sadly nothing could be done now. For a Sikh, the first week of June is very painful. It brings back memories of what had happened in 1984 and how the entire Sikh community was treated as terrorists in the later decades. Around this time every year we have discussions, debates on various platforms which brings back pain all along. Also it's very difficult to even talk about this matter, as being very close to religion, most of the people try not to talk much about it but today, I will. It's a story of Greed, Ego clashes and conquest for power, in modern times according to the Democratic values. Back in 1977, the Gandhi family saw the fiery and fierce nature of one young man and decided to use it for their ...

From Revolution 2020 to Lockdown 2020

Now that it's almost been 3 months I'm stuck at home, I thought let's get my hands on writing all over again. I agree I'm not a writer, I never was, but almost 6 months back I used to have a habit of scribbling down some of my pathetic and rare good decisions of my life in a diary. But then I somehow got involved in work and stuff and I couldn't get the time to write. LAME EXCUSE! Now after spending all my time browsing internet, okay somewhat studying I agree, reading same old novels I've the hard copies of, suddenly the writer bug has stung me. I thought it'll keep be busy as well as improve my writing skills. Also given the insane amount of time I spend in overthinking , writing was the best thing to escape the realities of my life.  So I asked a friend of mine (who knows me from my school days) , ' I was thinking about  starting a blog'. Well, initially he said yes go for it, but then asked me what will you write about.   umm. wait, what! Okay ...
